Leads analysis, design and preparation of electrical engineering elements and plans
Assigns tasks to and coordinates with junior level engineers, technicians and administrative staff
Assists in determining project schedules, cost estimates, and budget requirements
Required Skills & Required Experience
Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering; Master s Degree in EE a plus
5+ years of experience in electrical systems including traffic signal systems (including railroad and emergency vehicle pre-emption systems), highway lighting and Intelligent Transportation Systems engineering
PE license is preferred
Previous design experience of roadway surveillance systems (CCTV, DMS, weather stations, weigh-in-motion sites, travel time systems, etc.) is desired
Experience in leading electrical design efforts for agencies including NJDOT, NJTA and/or PANYNJ projects
Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes is desired.
Familiarity with Visual and/or AGI lighting design software is preferred.
Interest/experience in Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV), MOD/MaaS, Disruptive Transportation Technologies
Ideal candidate would have experience preparing technical and cost proposals for the electrical design components of various highway projects, as well as supervising junior engineers in highway lighting report preparation, lighting analysis and lighting design, traffic signal design and communications systems design (wireless and fiber optic)
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)
Must be familiar with MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD.
